Chances are, if you have the ability to read this blog, then you have some things to be thankful for. Even in times like these it's easy to get lost in the day to day and feel like we have nothing. Since it's the time of expressing gratitude here are 10 affirmations that you can pull from to use for your day to day.
I'm thankful for the roof over my head.
I'm thankful for the clothes on my back.
I'm thankful for the food available to me.
I'm grateful for my family (this can be your chosen family too).
I'm grateful for my friends who support me and challenge me to grow.
I'm appreciative of the deep breaths I can take.
I'm appreciative for the challenges in my life that have shown me how resilient I am.
I'm grateful that I can access the wealth of knowledge and perspectives the internet offers.
I'm thankful to every plant (both on land and at sea) that provide the earth with oxygen.
I'm thankful that I have the ability to take time out of my day to focus on me and only me.
Now that you've read all of these. If at any point you went "I'm thankful... wow, some people don't have this" can you find ways in which you can impact those in the global community so these affirmations can be applicable to them. Sign petitions, donate to local organizers, give food to local food banks, give clothing to shelters asking for them, etc. One way to learn about a variety of organizations is by looking at Conscious Step Socks. You'll see familiar organizations as well as others that may be new to you that you can look into further.
While you say these affirmations make sure to also take action so these aren't only applicable to you and those in your social circle.
