5 Tips to Maintain Clear Skin

Before we dive in, let me make one thing clear. YOUR SKIN WILL CHANGE FROM DAY TO DAY! That being said, my skin tends to go long periods of time without extreme breakouts which I'm grateful for. So since I keep getting comments about my skin, (yes, I actually get DMs about this 😅) here are 5 tips I use to maintain clear skin for as long as I can.

  1. Wash your face at least once a day: This should go without saying but I've learned that I must say it. Please wash your face. Even if you have dry skin definitely wash and moisturize your face before bed.

  2. Change your skincare with the seasons: As the seasons change so should your routine. For example when the weather gets colder/dryer, find a moisturizer that will keep your skin feeling moisturized and not tight.

  3. Wash your pillow & cover regularly: Every night we nuzzle into our pillow. But that means our dead skin and drool can go back onto our skin at night as we nuzzle. Even if you sleep on your back, wash your pillow & cover regularly.

  4. Don't switch up your skincare routine too often: I know, in this day and age a new product is coming out every minute. But the more often we switch up our skin care, the more likely our skin is going to be mad at us and will react. So yes, fold in new products every so often but try to be more intentional about how/when you change up your routine.

  5. Don't stress about things not worth stressing about: Stress can lead to breakouts. A lot of times we're stressing over things we need not be stressed over. So do your meditation. Cook something yummy. Take a bath. Destress in your way so that your skin will be stress free too.
